Marsh. F.
152 Holme Lane
“Music dealer”
Sleeves are plain with a rubber stamp at first, printed sleeves followed later. Night Time In Nevada has been written on the sleeve shown here; this was released in various versions around 1931 soy gives us a date for the shop being in business. It was demolished to make way for present day tram terminus.

Mozley. J.B.
124 Staniforth Road
Mozley appears to have been primarily a cycle shop with a ‘Gramophone Depot’, according to their various sleeves. “Latest records as issued. Gramophones and wireless.”
There was a John Burns Mozley, cycle maker, at this address in 1833. The name is still listed here in White’s Directory of Sheffield & Rotherham 1925. I assume by this time his son was running the business. He is also listed at 12 Hammerton Street Attercliffe, Sheffield in 1905 but back at 124 in 1911.
The name Mozley was sometimes spelt as Mosley, although whether the J B Mosley (below) is related, or just a spelling change (perhaps to anglicise the name more?) we do not know.
