Danny Harman and the Wildcats

A Sheffield beat group active during the early and mid-1960s. Led by vocalist Danny Harman (Daniel Sharpe), the band played extensively on the local club circuit and are particularly remembered for appearing at Bramall Lane before a Sheffield United First Division match in 1963/64—an event regarded as one of the earliest live beat-group performances at a football stadium.  Danny Harman later emigrated to California, where he became a successful publican before returning to Britain and later moving back to the United States. He died in 2007
