Zayus were a Sheffield New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) band formed around 1979. They were active mainly 1979–1981, with a brief revival in 1985. They recorded at least two demos, including a 1980 tape featuring tracks such as:
Angel of Hell / Brain Deranger / Seductress / Hiroshima / When the Cold Winds Blow / Destroy the Bridge
The 1980 demo was reportedly recorded at Bents Green School, Sheffield using a mobile studio called Direct Tape. There has been renewed interest recently because the long-lost demo recordings resurfaced and have been prepared for anthology release under the title "Angel Of Hell".
