Zirk Dextron, was led by The band was led by Rich (Richard) Memmott, playing bass, singing lead vocals and also writing most of the material. They supported Curved Air and Hatfield and the North at Sheffield concerts in the mid-1970s and attracted some record company interest. They made some demos but nothing came of it.
After Zirk Dextron split, Memmott formed Double Life, a sophisticated jazz-rock/progressive band.
