Simon has been sorting through his vintage rock poster collection and found this for Steve Hillage’s headline concert at City Hall Sheffield, October 26th 1977 (support act Glenn Phillips).  This is one of those big concert adverts which used to pasted up around the city ahead of rock shows.  Despite this being the height of Punk in the UK, Hillage drew a fairly big crowd and was heavily promoted by virgin Records, which is where this poster came from!  And look at those ticket prices, £2.50 down to £1.00.  Taylor Swift fans read it and weep.  The posters were screenprinted likely by the promoters of the tour, and then over-printed for each show on the tour.  Only a few dozen of each would be done, making surviving examples very rare today.
