Co-founder of the legendary Limit Club with partner George Webster, the club played host to an amazing set of bands, from U2 and Paul Young (the pair owned a percentage of him!) through to Teardrop Explodes, the Banshees and a million others. Webster was the music fan and ex-copper Johnson supplied the business side of things. A huge part of Sheffield’s musical heritage was lost in the 90s when the block was redeveloped.
