The cult band from Sheffield They Must Be Russians I’ve had their 1985 album “And Other Groundless Accusations” re-released by clicking gallery in Germany. I (Nick) joined this band shortly before the album was completed and added some feedback to one track! We then released a 12 inch called Red Square with two tracks from the album and two new songs. It’s wonderful to listen to this again although one of the tracks has a glitch on it and infuriatingly I get no credit on the sleeve notes – So much for German efficiency! However it’s a fine album, showing how the band fitted into the pop scene of the times and well worth a listen (or purchase!)

I’m more or less in touch with all the members of the band except for Steve Wright, the drummer (as seen on the cover!). If anyone knows how to contact him, hoping he’s still with us, please let us know.
