“For Everything Musical – Most Complete Record Stock In Yorkshire”, Cann’s (as they were always known) were one of the city’s best stocked music shops selling music, instruments, as well as gramophone records and players. Listed in directory as early as 1927 but had been there possibly since late 1800s. Premises demolished in 1960s (they moved – see below) and site redeveloped.
