Rich Tone Music is one of Sheffield’s best-known independent musical instrument retailers, specialising in guitars, basses, amplifiers, keyboards, drums, recording equipment and second-hand gear. The company was founded by The business was founded by local guitarist and Wishbone Ash fan Richard Thomas in 2004 as a small business based in Greenhill and grew into a major UK music retailer with a large online operation and a substantial showroom just off Abbeydale Road.
They have had a series of highly skilled guitar technicians, including Pod Pearson and Chillo Anglini. They have held many promotional demo evenings, featuring artists such as Jerry Donahue, Bernie Marsden, Thomas Blug, Guthrie Govan, Phil Hilborne and Jon Gomm. A number of amazing guitar review videos were filmed there by the dear departed Fredie Satsuma.
