Guitar Shack is an independent music hub based in the heart of Sheffield. Originally set up in Walkley in 2007 before five relocations. They buy and sell new, used and vintage guitars and related equipment, and provides instrument repairs, setups, amplifier repairs and custom guitar building. The workshop also manufactures hand-wound guitar pickups and undertakes refinishing and restoration work.
In addition to retail and repair services, Guitar Shack offers one-to-one guitar tuition, rehearsal facilities and recording services. The premises include a live room used for rehearsals, small performances and recording sessions. The business also accepts donated musical equipment for repair or refurbishment, with restored items being reused for educational and community projects.
Located on the southern edge of Sheffield city centre, Guitar Shack has developed as a venue supporting local musicians by combining instrument sales and servicing with rehearsal, recording and performance facilities.
